UFIS-AS Enhances Flight Information System at Warsaw
UFIS Airport Solutions (UFIS-AS) is currently working on a project to enhance its existing integrated UFIS® Flight Information System at Warsaw's Frederic Chopin Airport. The enhancements include the installation of the UFIS® module Data Changes, providing an audit trail for the work done on the system. Enhancements to the gate displays, part of the UFIS® module Flight Information Display System (FIDS), are also planned. Included in stage two of the project is baggage chute allocation functionality for the UFIS® module Flight Information Processing System (FIPS). This new functionality will allow Warsaw users to see the chute allocations using a Gantt chart, in a similar way that they already review and plan check-in counters, gates, and baggage carousels. With this new functionality, UFIS-AS will also add chute displays to its FIDS system.
The development of several new management reports as well as additional training for system administrators is included in the contract package.
The project, contracted with the Polish Airports State Authority (PPL), is scheduled for completion by the end of this year.
